A special task force committee is considering one of the two regions – Kadapa district and Jangareddygudem in West Godavari district – to set up the plant. SAIL steel plant would provide direct employment to over 10,000 people and create indirect employment for over 1 lakh people. The plant would also give rise to establishment of several ancillary units that would provide indirect employment.
